Pesto
A little salt and three cloves gahlic,
More than that will give you cholic.
Two sprigs parsley, twelve basil leaves,
Six tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese.
Pignoli nuts, try one-third cup,
Or toss in walnuts, broken up.
Dump all this stuff into your blender,
And zap till green gook you engender.
Then slowly add a half cup oil,
And that’s the end of all your toil.
’Cause you don’t cook this stuff called pesto,
Just toss on pasta, eat with zesto.
